Following the release of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire in North America, Australia, and New Zealand last week, The Pokémon Company has released an update for the new entries in the series that irons out various bugs and provides a smoother game experience.
All 3DS owners who have a copy of either of these games will need to perform the update via the eShop if they wish to continue using the online features. Users who own both games will have to update each individually, with each update requiring a total of 271 free blocks a piece. It is also worth noting that 3DS owners in Europe can download this update in preparation of the games' release later this week.
The following is the official one-line detail on Version 1.1 of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire:
Various bugs have been fixed in order to provide a smoother gaming experience

Level up!
@mmarkster Pokémon ORAS learnt Stability!
A Mega Sableye update.
Pi-pikachu!
Translation: "I, I approve!"
Taking kids to the Nintrndo Travelin Mall Show this afternoon, guess Ill be patchin both of these while they're at school today.
Shame. Didn't the game just come out, and it already needs some fixin'.
@Goginho That's nothing bad or even worrying. If anything, it shows how carefully GameFreak goes through their game over and over again, just to find that inevitable programming oversight. A shame would be a game-breaking bug that only gets fixed two months later.
I hope this fixes the trainer's eyesight.
I got caught a few times by trainers that didn't even see me yet.
@UltraLaserTen Just had this happen to me last night actually, thought it was pretty weird. Was on one of the routes outside the town with the first gym you challenge.
I don't see the patch in the eShop at all (NA player)
Does anyone know what you're supposed to do if you have Cartridge? Or am I just screwed?
I really want to get this game but I am wondering if a Delta Emerald will come out. I love Pokemon but I really wanted a Battle Frontier. Unless they give it as DLC.
@Psychic101 You can download it too, it doesn't matter if it's physical or digital.
That headline... I know it was kinda obvious, but nevertheless a good one
@Psychic101 If you search "Pokémon" in the e-shop search box, one of the first options should be the patch to 1.1.
@Jahir Yup I got it fixed ^_^ I went to eshop and only saw the "buy me" one but my friend called me an idiot and explained it. Thank you though!
At least Nintendo/GameFreak releases a solid working game at launch, and uses patches for minor fix-ups, unlike some games Cough Ubisoft Cough AC: Unity
Pokemon wants to learn the move update. However it already knows 450920 (That's not a real number, give up on trying to prove me false >) lines of code. Would you like to replace some lines of code?
Man, The eShop is under maitinence. Can't update OR T0T.
Hope this fixes the slowdown in battles. Picking up OR on Friday, and that was the one thing that really annoyed me in X/Y, and it didn't seem to be improved on in the ORAS demo...
