I don't give my money to Ubisoft. Period. They've said so much bad about Nintendo (we're all kiddie gamers) and PC (that we're all pirates) gamers that I'm done with them.
Ubisoft gets nothing from me
I'm assuming this will make its way to Europe, not that I'm really that bothered. I've got everything I want from them and I loathe handing over money for watch dogs, I'll wait till it's £20 or less!!
Why is ZombiU so expensive. I would love to get it digitally but not at that price (I already have it physically, I just don't want cases laying around)
Wow, lol! I can find these way cheaper as physical copies.
No forgiveness, Ubisoft.
If you haven't gotten Rayman Legends yet and love platformers here is your chance! Absolutley loved that game.
Watchdogs is 24.99 at all stores around here for regular price.
Okay, I'll get Shadow Wars. You don't have to beg, Ubi.
You get no money from me Ubisoft tired of your BS.And really 45 dollars for watch dogs?Don't make me laugh, come back when the pathetic port is less then 20!
Shadow Wars and Rayman Legends are really good deals, I'd highly recommend both (but I'd highly recommend Rayman Legends at full price honestly).
Rayman Legends and Child of Light for me.
Hmmm, giving the gift of Rayman Legends is good karma, but supporting Ubisoft is bad karma... What a dillemma...
They still have ESPN Sports Connection at a MSRP of $49.99? Hahahaha.
I'm tempted by Tetris Ultimate, not because i think it'll be better than Tetris DS but because a few of the new modes interest me. And I'm aTetris junkie
Rayman Origins?! Sold!
@CanisWolfred Was playing that earlier today and couldn't put it down. You will enjoy it!
Rayman Legends at less than ten bucks? Might be interesting if it makes it to good ol' Europe at about the same price.
@DiscoGentleman
I was hoping for $15 or less. There are some that I might get depending on how good my paycheck is
Watch Dogs... 44.99.... no thanks, not worth it, you can get that for $20. I can also get Zombie U new for $15....
I'd highly recommend Ghost Recon Shadow Wars for the 3DS for anyone that likes games like Fire Emblem. Its an excellent game!
Is this the best deal at the moment for Rayman Legends? Because it's very tempting!
No...Ubisoft gets no money from me.
Those prices are ridiculous. I got ZombiU for £6.50 ( roughly US$12 ) from Amazon early last year. I have seen WatchDogs for £10.00 ( roughly $18 ) in some shops and I could have had it for £14.00 new from Amazon last month.
These games will all be far cheaper in stores or online.
But then again Nintendo games are the same. I got the Wonderful 101 and Pikmin 3 for £22.00 total whereas they cost £49.00 each to download at the time.
I suppose you pay double or treble for the convenience of downloading the game but I am tight.
Heck No! Ubish!t is not getting money nor support from me anymore!
Shops tend to set their own prices. That's why it's the 'suggested retail price'. Ubisoft determines the prices on the eShop. Since Nintendo gamers have begun returning Ubi's disdain, they've become a bit lax in their upkeep.
Rayman and Tom Clancy ones is pretty tempting, never really play them so not sure if I'll get it. Still have a huge backlog, so maybe not now.
I'm tempted by splinter cell blacklist but not sure if I want to support a company thaf does substandard wii u ports
Nah.
Are any gamers really happy with Ubisoft anymore? I mean, yeah, Nintendo and PC gamers got the middle finger and insulted too many times to count, but after last year (coughACUnitycough) I'm pretty sure Xbox and PlayStation gamers are just as pissed off at them. Ubisoft released too many broken/underwhelming games last year (even the PS4/XB1 port of Tetris Ultimate was buggy).
I was interested in Rayman Legends, but I can miss out on it if it means not supporting Ubisoft.
@Retro_on_theGo Physical copy of Rayman Legends is $22 - $30 for both new and used on Amazon US, so $20 isn't much of a discount. It's up to whether one prefers physical or digital. If you do prefer digital, get it while you can for this price.
@IceClimbers I'm happy with the developers working for Ubisoft; I'm just not happy with the executives.
@Royalblues Always happy to spread the love
@Royalblues You're welcome old sport.
Eh, you can get a physical copy of ZombiU for less than this sale price. It's a game well worth playing, by the way.
Shadow Wars is a whole lot of fun, and frankly Splinter Cell 3D is better than most reviewers give it credit for. The problem is that a lot of people tend to go into Splinter Cell 3D expecting it to have everything that the console versions have which isn't very realistic. Heck, I've put over 90 hours into that game.
Child of Light and possibly Shadow Wars for me
Child of Light and both Splinter Cells at that price have my interest.
Man, every time something like this happens, it cements the image of Ubisoft games as "don't buy at launch" titles. I'm all for discounts as a gamer, mind you, but as an advertising professional I think this just can't be very good for the brand.
EIther way, if you haven't gotten Child of Light yet, do it. Gorgeous game.
Nope. Done with Ubisoft until a Zombi U sequel is announced. So probably forever.
No thanks.
Slightly tempted by Tetris Ultimate...but is it worth it over Tetris DS??!
These prices are a joke. Blacklist was $7.99 during the Steam Winter sale and actually came with all the content. Ubisoft loves to screw over Nintendo fans, charging more for gimped ports.
Hmm, I grabbed Shadow Wars during their last mega sale, and now that I have a Wii U I can't ignore Rayman Legends at that price, although I'll need to try out the demo first.
I'll get Raymon Origins for that price and if I really like it I'll get legends too. I really was trying to lay off on the game buying but what the heck. It's cheap might as well save a few bucks
Child of Light for me.
Shadow Wars is highly recommended to turn-based strategy fans.
Tom Clancy ghost recon shadow wars was an awesome early 3ds game in the style of advanced wars. If you like fire emblem/advance wars it's definitely worth $7.95.
@DefHalan U would figure any game in eShop would have a code to get it at least major discount if you have the physical copy.
@dadajo I love platformers and found Rayman legends boring and flashy. And seriously, screw Ubisoft.
Not interested. I'm enjoying Metroid prime trilogy now with a very sweet $9.99 price tag. Now, that's how you do a e-shop sale!
Already boycotted ...
@minotaurgamer that's unfortunate. I personally loved it and thought it was a fun and imaginative game. But opinions.
Yeah! Some Rayman 3D for me! Some good ol nistolgia In 3D!
@ThomasBW84 the price for ZombiU is wrong, it is normally $19.99, but went down to $14.99. (On the Canadian store at least, but I doubt it is more expensive on the U.S. one. Normally it would be more expensive here.)
I've been wanting a few games for awhile so I think I will go for Legends, Blacklist and ACIV. With those games and just one more, I think I should have enough coins for the messenger bag.
@yokokazuo
The price is correct. Seems that the Canadian eShop sells it for less for original and sale price than US... Quite surprising, if you ask me.
I didn't realize ZombiU was so cheap normally. I'm not into horror games, but I heard that one's good. Got ACIII on sale a while ago (because I'm kind of an American history nerd), and could not get into the game. Way too much distracting nonsense that obscures the cool history part. Anyway, Child of Light was really good. I would highly recommend it to RPG fans, fans of cool game art styles, and those who like moody games. It's not overly long either, which I actually like.
@Retro_on_theGo 20 dollars for Rayman Legends?Yes it is the best deal right now.
I have no problem with Ubisoft. Child of Light, Assassin's Creed IV, and Rayman Legends are some of my favorite Wii U games. I'll gladly take Rayman Origins for $7.50. I'm kinda mad, though, that I paid $35 for Rayman Legends just last month.
If it comes to Europe i'll take a look, but i don't know if i'd actually buy anything.
I've really enjoyed some of their games. Shadow wars was one of the biggest surprises. It's really good for a turn-based strategy. Child of light, really beatiful with awesome soundtrack and great combat system.
AC4, framerate issues but otherwise pretty freaking awesome. 100%'d it in about 65 hours. Zombi U is already a cult classic at this point. Finished it twice which almost never happens. Blacklist is also great if you want some hardcore stealth. Endless possibilities when it comes to gameplay. So many gadgets.
I don't hate them.
@Platina really? That's strange. I wonder why it's cheaper here, I think it's the only game then that is cheaper in Canada than the U.S.
I heard ubisoft poisoned a puppy once, i'll have nothing to do with them!
(In all seriousness, ubisoft arent so bad. Ive enjoyed alot of their games)
@DefHalan Though I prefer physical copies personally, I still got ZombiU digitally in the end cause I love the game AND load times on my system are like... 2 to 3 times faster off my usb stick . It was only €9.99 over the holidays, in Europe.
I do want child of light..but it still seems a little high to me. I think I will wait for a massive sale sometime.
@IceClimbers Yeah, but Ubisoft offered gamers who bought AC Unity a free retail game as a download to make up for it. So they're probably not too cheesed off.
I just bought Rabbids land for 4.90e from eShop before Christmas
I have some of those, but Rayman Legends and Child of Light really worth the money - if you can
And hasn't RL being cheaper than that - 19e? Or has it been that just in Europe?
And the bad thing with bigger games that yeah, you can get physical games cheaper.
@cbkummer
Huh, is that what they actually said? Shame...considering Nintendo + PC is all I'll ever do again. I'm not ENTIRELY ready to completely write off Ubisoft, but they're obviously not doing anything support me.
-Delayed games (Rayman)
-Crappy Ports (AC: Unity PC, Watch Dogs Wii U, etc.)
-Refusal to make sequels to promising series (ZombiU)
If you own a PS4 or Xbox One and still aren't tired of Assasin's Creed you're probably in heaven though
I was thinking about getting a copy of Splinter Cell Blacklist online after checking it out, but I've heard it has some performance issues so I think I may opt for getting it on PC instead. However I'm definitely gonna get Child of Light.
Cloudberry Kingdom and Child of Light, maybe... They are too expensive for an Ubisoft game. I would give no more than $5 for both of their games. That's only because Ubisoft made them.
I have $20 right now. If I don't find a good use for it by Friday morning Rayman Legends will be mine
@Obito_Sigma I can't vouch for Child of Light, but Cloudberry Kingdom's definitely worth the $5. It's a fun little platforming title from my experience.
@RainbowGazelle
Nope, they offered the free game to people who got the season pass, not the game itself. The others got free DLC. Not too shabby considering those people paid full price for an unfinished game.
On here, nothing I care about. I got Teslagrad for $6 on the eShop not long ago, so I am not paying $11.24 for Child of Light, as both go for the same normal price of $15.
Rayman Legends really is a lot of game at that price. The game is packed with content and it's a gem if you like platformers. Level design, graphics, music, ++bonus levels.
But I also share a lot of people's resentment towards Ubisoft too.
My haul...
3DS:
Rabbids Travel in Time 3D
Rayman 3D
Rayman Origins
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Shadow Wars
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell 3D
Tetris Ultimate
Wii U:
Rayman Legends
Debating Rabbids Land and Cloudberry Kingdom...
If Assassin's Creed IV was just a few dollars cheaper, I would be seriously tempted. Since it is not, I will wait. I am a patient man, and eventually it will be $10 in a store bargain bin.
As it is, I have already bought a lot this month and I still have Deathstroke and Vigilante Bruce Wayne Challenges to conquer in Arkham Origins. (Although, it still rubs me the wrong way that a glitch is preventing 100% completion on the file.)
I've always wanted to play the DLC for AC3. I've heard it starts painfully slow but the last chapter is pretty awesome. Now the DLC is more expensive then the game itself.
@cbkummer
I'm kind of inclined to agree. The few Ubisoft games that I may really want, I'll pick up used. But I agree, Ubisoft has done little but piss me off in recent years.
Please get Child of Light if you can!! It's a wonderful game.
Me? I'm finally getting Rayman Legends myself, yeahhhhh.
ACIV is the best £9.99 I've spent on eshop. It's almost the perfect pirate game. I think Ubi are a little bit mean towards Wii U but most of their games sold and reviewed appallingly so I don't hate them for not wanting to support the Wii U.
Zombi U and Watch Dogs need to be much less.
Ubisoft is a weird subject with me. Honestly they have alienated me on every console (but especially Nintendo) and I don't want to support them anymore. But on the other hand they have made some truly superlative games (ACIV, Child of Light, Rayman Legends, Valiant Hearts) and I want them back on Nintendo putting those games out there because Nintendo needs the third party support. But then they release glitchy, broken, unfinished games on the other consoles and say it's too difficult to put women in and I'm like, "Good riddance!"
So I don't know, Ubisoft, I just don't know. And until I do, I won't buy.
I actually already purchased/downloaded "Rayman Orgins," and "Rayman 3D," for 3DS last year, when they similarly went on sale for 8 bucks each in the Eshop.
I'd say they were worth it, but I kinda liked "Rayman 3D" better, (which is a remake of the Dreamcast version of "Rayman 2: The Great Escape, which admittedly I never played before, not even the N64 version) which is a very good old-shcool style 3D platformer, and very Rareware-like in some ways. I'd recommend both games.
Ubisoft haven't pushed me over the edge where I won't buy their games yet, but they sure know how to make their products seem worthless, what with having 75% off sales every month.
I take this chance to grab a game so that I have just enough CN coin to redeem a code for Wonderful 101.
