Club Nintendo shall soon close its doors. This heartbreaking news was announced earlier this year, revealing that Nintendo would close the program to make way for a new rewards system. Following this announcement the company flooded its users with a variety of new rewards, promising more to come leading up to the closure. Today the European site followed through on this promise.
For the European version of Club Nintendo, customers register games, and receive stars on their account. Stars can then be exchanged for rewards, ranging from games to accessories. The North American site simply switches out stars for coins. The new rewards for the European audience gives users a chance to catch up on recent eShop titles.
Some of the highlights include Dillon's Rolling Western: The Last Ranger for 3DS, Pullblox for 3DS and Pullblox World for Wii U - the latter pair also being known as Pushmo and Pushmo World.
Nintendo of Europe will shut down Club Nintendo on 30th September 2015. The months leading up to the closure are sure to bring about many more rewards, both digital and physical.
Will you pick up these titles? What are some of your Club Nintendo memories?

Hmmm... Some classic games I'd get like Donkey Kong and Wario Land, but I'd wait if I knew they'd be some exclusive physical items in the coming months... Might wait.
CN UK's down. Sigh...
Oh, so Europe hadn't gotten the reward flurry already? I didn't know that!
I've been saving my last 500-or-so coins to see whether they will introduce even more rewards in the Americas up until the Club's closure. I hope they do.
But but but... I have all the ones that I want...
Well, look at that. It seems Nintendo UK have finally woken up from their 9-year slumber and realised that DS Lite accessories aren't on everyone's wish-lists. I took a look through the games and wow, the 3DS offerings pale compared to the Wii U ones! I guess I'll just have to wait and see if anything better's added at some point in the future...
I haven't been able to log in to Club Nintendo for months. I'm certainly aware of the imminent closure, but I did want to sort out a few things before the switch.
I might be able to scrimp together a few stars for a points card so I could get one last game on the Wii Shop.
However, when I go nintendo.co.uk, it gives me a 406 error, and when I try to input my credentials, nothing happens.
I was super excited when I saw the new rewards. Then I found out I already most of the Wii U offerings. Also there are different pricing even for games on the same VC category. GBA mostly. I'll probably pick some 3DS VCs but:
Will they add more physical rewards? I want Game & Watch back. Maybe SNES Classic Controller or gold nunchuk.
Got all those so will have to wait for future offers.
I have most of the games already. Might've picked up The Mysterious Murasame Castle if it was available for Wii U as well.. Oh well, hopefully there will be some more interesting content.
The website is so sloooow. No way I'm getting any codes tonight!
I would assume that the games will stay up until it closes (Hopeully) so I'm gonna wait to see if there are any exclusive items and if not will get some games towards the end of September.
It seems I can login, but I still can't access the Club Nintendo section, so all I have is 100 stars. If Nintendo sold tiny pieces of string, I still probably wouldn't be able to afford it.
I tried to access it, but it didn't work. Now I'm trying to return to the original stars.nintendo-europe page, but it won't load up. The website really is a mess. I look forward to it's replacement.
I just read the artikle ... thought "AWWW YIS!!!" .... wanted to look into the Star Catalogue ... Server not responding XD ...
It seams that I'm not the only one trying to look through this ^^
I just want to hear what the NA platinum reward will be for 2015! I hope they announce it soon.
@Tsurii897 I think either it's a mistake (hence why the Stars Catalogue is down at the moment) or going by release dates so April last year being the cheapest and this year's games being most expensive.
Excellent! Been jealous of the North American club Nintendo getting VC games for years now while in Europe we just get (most of the time) physical tat. Managed to redeem Wario Land on 3DS, but going to grab some GBA games on Wii U when it works again too.
I'm waiting Nintendo of Australia....
I've just had a look at the stars catalog, and i too have most of what i want.
Are Nintendo ever going to let 3DS players have SNES games?
I'd love to have a few of them like Super Metroid playable on 3DS.
If there's not a New metroid game for the 3DS, please let us have SNES VC games as only being able to play Metroid 1 and 2 is annoying.
If it's not to much to ask, Nintendo, please can we have SNES VC games on the 3DS. PLEASE?
I purchased the game & watch ball as soon as nintendo announced the club nintendo closure. I'm glad I did, as all the real best rewards were gone in a matter of days.
What kind of price are we talking starwise for these titles?
(I'd look myself but the server's chok-a-blok!)
Could somebody type up the games and prices? Can't get on to check myself
I think it's odd that they're offering GBA games on 3DS too. They're just some of the ones from the Ambassador collection, but still. Either way, I already have those on my 3DS, and there's nothing else that really catches my eye and I think is worth the amount of stars they're asking for it. I'll wait out on some more physical goodies!
@Yosher It was an error, all GBA codes are for Wii U only.
@Yosher @GrumbleVolcano
I think Yosher is an Ambassador, please correct me if I'm wrong.
Soo..are these the final rewards like in the US? Or should I wait for more exclusive physical rewards?
3900 stars for a GBA game is kind of ridiculous considering you could get the ALBW double CD OST for 3000 stars.
about time
but
most of my points expired.... ughhh
@Grumblevolcano Oh, they're for Wii U? Well that sucks for the ones who wanted to get them for 3DS...
@AmazonianBeauty Yeah, but that wasn't really what Grumblevolcano was talking about. (These download codes have nothing to do with being an ambassador or not.)
The amount of Stars they're charging is ridiculous. 3900 Stars for a digital download that costs € 6.99? Prrrrlease! Give us something worth using those hard-earned stars!!!
The amount of prices they charge seems obscure to me...
Club Nintendo your legacy will live on forever!
also, i read somewhere they added gba games for 3DS on there
I can see Nintendo putting up something special on CN for the last month, knowing that loads of people will have blown their stars on downloads. They did a similar thing when the decided we could trade stars for Wii points, then put up the SNES Classic Controller up a few weeks later.
@Yosher
I did wonder about when Grumblevolcano said about the error, and thought of what you said about already having them on your 3DS. Hmm...though i'd love to have some of those GBA games on 3DS as well
Though i own games like Metroid Fusion, Golden Sun, Minish Cap, and LTTP on both Snes and GBA, just would've been nice for all to be able to play them on 3DS
Awwwww Yiss!!! I always have been jealous towards the coin rewards over in America. Over here in Europe we just got old original DS accessories for years and a Blanket for around a mega load of 6000 stars! I always did want a nice game for my hard earned Star Points!
I was looking through the 3DS titles and I remembered that I received "Super Mario Deluxe" from a promotion a while ago but I can't remember what it involved doing!
For everyone who is looking through just the 3DS titles, As they are on the bottom row, I went through all of the pages (to see if there were any others) and at the end page on the top row there is a sneaky 3DS title called "3D Classics Xevious", for 3400 stars, in case anyone missed it!
As I only have 1500 stars and I am very impatient to wait up until September even though I know they will probs add a lot more by then as the last lot of rewards I think I may pick up Super Mario Bros: The Lost Worlds. I have to admit that Minish Cap for the Wii U looks nice though, I do own the original but my GBA SP broke a long time ago.
I remember back in the Gamecube and GBA era when it was called "Nintendo V.I.P" where it all started. I remember whenever I got a new game I seemed more excited to use the codes in the boxes to see what I could get next with my rewards points more than the game I had just got xD. I am more than confident over the years with Nintendo's decision, and I'm sure that the system that will replace Club Nintendo will be awesome, I just hope for a nice balance of both physical and digital rewards for Europe.
Sadly I don't have a U yet, so many games I'd otherwise pick up, particularly the Metroid ones, will have to be left there. I mean, I'm very likely to have the console before this year is over, but even if the download codes won't expire until then I don't like doing that.
So out of the 3DS options I'm definitely going to get Metroid II - Return of Samus, to follow up the first Metroid game which I happened to buy a few weeks ago. It's also one of the few titles in that list that's not overpriced, so that's nice.
Nintendo, this is all I ever asked of you for the UK Club Nintendo. It took you until the closure of the service, but I thank you none the less.
I will say that the prices are rather odd and inconsistent. Alleyway and Mario Picross are both Game Boy games, costing 800 and 2300 stars respectively...and Metroid Fusion (GBA) costs 1800...
I might get the Mario Kart dlc pack. I have something like 4800 stars so if they add the second one too I'll be able to get both through Club Nintendo.
Alternatively I might get Golden Sun. Already played it but it might be nice to replay it.
I have 900 stars left after getting the zelda soundtrack so there may be something I could spend my points on as I thought they were going to be left there.
EDIT: Maybe alleyway but I will hold out a while longer.
Meh. I wanted the Mario cap. Got it recently through stars catalogue and I'm more than happy!
YES!
I had 9000 or so stars saved up, so have spent them on copies of NES Remix 1 and 2. Very glad they added all these!
Great news that they've added games which hopefully will stay until Club Nintendo closes.
Still holding out in case new physical rewards appear. I just wish NoE would remove the "DS Lite" pink case and DS cartridge/stylus offers though - even they must realise by now that no-one wants them!!!
Nice rewards.
Hey PAL users! I have an Elite Beat Agents CN code that I can't use unfortunately. (Accidentally bought a PAL version)
First come first serve I guess.
@Feathered_Pilot Ohhh yes please if it hasn't already gone, can you email it to me at (email address removed)
I am seriously crying now. I thought club nintendo europe would never do games now they do, i spent my stars earlier this month. Does anyone have a spare? I need like two codes to get the cheapest game for the 3ds.
@Feathered_Pilot Thanks for the code
While this is good, did it come too late?
@Moon only if you give me more than 3 days
This is brilliant, should have been done ages ago, but brilliant all the same. I've got no points because I panicked and spent mine on Wii points when I heard the program would close......bit premature there maybe =/
I hope there's not gonna be exclusive things I want coming up cause I used most of my stars last night on this. I got the Pikmin shorts for WiiU, Mario and Luigi superstar saga and The Mysterious Murasame Castle so i'm quite happy with this.
I'm not from UK, but have Stars regostered in their CN. Do they really send you the download codes via post or does it arrive in your email?
I tried purchasing a download code for Hana Samurai, but it asked me a delivery address, which I do not have, naturally.
@Andyliini Of course they are not sending the download codes via post.
probably better value swapping to points to use for some Wiiware / Dsi games. Could get about three 1000 point games for the 12000 stars I have. Must be some classics on there somewhere............
I'd recommend Wario Land 1, I think it's one if not the best in the series and it's one of the cheap ones, too. More modern games are way too expensive... 5000 stars???
And I thought my 3300 stars will be worth a retail download. Well, I'll probably get some SNES or GBA game. I wonder what else they will add in the coming months.
Legend of Zelda Minnish Cap has disappeared from the store
Some really great stuff on offer. Quite pricey (in stars), but still great.
More stuff like this in Club Nintendo's successor would be very welcome!
I want nice physical items, so I think I'll hold out
Glad to see EU finally get the flurry of stuff to empty star reserves. I have gotten just enough to reach platinum status this year, so hopefully next month when they roll out the elite/platinum awards, it wont be a pile of garbage for the last hurrah.
This is why I saved my stars.
I don't want to sound like a curmudgeon but why couldn't our Club Nintendo have been like this all along? Mind you, I'm probably just bitter because I spent 4000 stars a couple of weeks ago on Pokémon Snap for my 5 year old only to find out his hands weren't big enough for the Classic Controller...
Good, now Europeans can stop whining about NA with their over all better library to choose from.
@G0dlike
....and in my opinion, this has always been the club's biggest failure. Why not structure it like the digital deluxe promotion? Oh well, this is most likely why it's going away and being restructured.
While i guess no one can ever explain the difference in how many stars each title will cost you it's still good to know that even if everything else is sold out on 30th September 2015 my stars still won't have to go to waste.
Let's poker.
@dkxcalibur couldn't agree more! Hopefully they'll add more before September. I'm in no rush!!
No good games for good star value unfortunately Americans got much better rewards as a farewell, glad I didn't wait and got the Link between worlds soundtrack when it was available
Wow, besides Pushmo World, NES Remix 2 and like two other games their rewards are pretty lame. Who would want Zelda Wind Waker Ringtones?! lol
Lucky. D: Been wanting that Game & Watch Ball as I missed out when are CN was offering it. Also, I've been jealous you guya can get Dsi/Wii points.
@llamareborn You're welcome! 😁
tempted by metroid 2 but i don't know if there will be more games listed in the coming months, I have 1500 stars so i would be mift if I spent most of them and then they listed something better
I got three GBA games 1 of which I was about to get ,the pricing is a bit weird more "obscure" games like fire emblem & Advance Wars are 3900 while classics like metroid fusion, superstar saga and wario ware are only 1800.I must say Link to the past is a steal at 1300.
I'm only 50 stars away from getting a gba game , If anyone has a spare club Nintendo code they don't want, it would be greatly appreciated
Great ! I squeezed every star I have to get Zelda : link's awekening DX ! as a European 3DS owner who is not resident in europe, I finally found use to these stars, I just hope they keep download codes in the new fidelity system !
Who cares about downloadable games? I already have all the games that I want. I want collectables like NA got. Otherwise, I feel like I spent all my time filling out those surveys for nothing.
@shaneoh As usual we'll get nothing, i wouldn't count on it. We might as well get our own region code, these days it feels like we are bearly apart of EU's gaming
Holy those games are expensive
@Feathered_Pilot hey ill take the points for your Elite Beat Agents if thats OK ?
@XyVoX Already gave it away. Sorry.
Used my Last remaining stars to get Alleyway(GB) and Paper Plane!
They were the only games I could afford with my remaining 1400 stars that I did not already own, but its better than nothing as I assumed those points would just vanish as their was nothing else I could've used them on (except maybe a 300 point Wii/DSI card) and I won't be getting more club points as my next planned Game purchase is Xenoblade 3DS (which is released after April 1st when codes stopped being packed in games).
Can you use the DSi point cards in the 3ds eshop yet?
Finally, some decent stuff for us Europeans!
3200 points can buy me Donkey Kong(GB) and either Super Mario World, Super Mario Kart or Super Metroid.
Which "Super" do I get!!?
Opinions please...........
Mario's Picross for GB is 2300 stars whereas Donkey Kong '94 is 1100? WHAT?
