I see a couple I might bite on but really already have most that I want from this list.
is there a stealth release in there - Metroid Fusion ?
Maybe MH4 ... but I doubt it. Got everything else, and was really hoping for Majora's Mask =(
Everything on that list that I'm interested in, I have. Ah well.
Darn, was hoping Kirby and the Rainbow Curse would be on that list.
yeah, realized just after I posted ...
I was really hoping for Hyrule Warriors to go on sale. Looks like my wallet is safe.
Pretty underwhelming tbh. Some good deals like AA Trilogy(already have it), Wonderful 101(already have), and MH4U, but nothing that'll make me go out of my way to buy it
I'm recommend you guys check out all the deals manually on the eShops, some games that weren't on this list or the last Nintendo Download update are on sale as well, like Cave Story.
Not bad I guess, but I was expecting more, maybe too much considering Nintendo's track record with deals.
I might pick up Windwaker HD and Awakening. Was really hoping for Bayonetta 2 as well but guess I will have to put down $60 for the two. Not saying that Bayonetta 1+2 are not worth the price, they are definitely amazing (loved the demo!!! plus I loved the DMC games and Wonderful 101), but limited budget and so many games to play -_-
Meh. There are a few good deals for digital exclusive games, but it's always disappointing how often "big eShop sales" for games with retail releases ended up being months (or years) later and not as cheap.
I thought one of the big pushes for going digital was supposed to be super competitive pricing since the game companies get a higher margin. Guess not. (Or maybe more accurately, I guess games are so expensive to develop now that better margins doesn't result in lower pricing.)
Six games look possibly interesting to me. I'll probably buy one or two during the sale.
hmm.. Thinking about Scram Kitty. Shantae games have always looked pretty good but I recently played the GBC game and I felt sort of lost after a while.
Surprisingly most of these games I already own digitally.
As Megas75, the better games of the list I already have. I want to see the European list anyway
All I wanted was Lego City Under cover or Sports Club so it wasn't likely I was going to buy anything anyway, but I'm still not impressed. Captain Toad for $28 instead of $40 is probably the best bet as its only 1 year old, making it the newest retail game on sale. They should have had NSMBU or SM3DW for people who bought the MK8 or Smash Splat bundle. Doesn't seem like a Nintendo sale without a real Mario game. Thought I saw Tipping Stars on the 3DS list but it was only very old Minis on the Move.
I suppose there are some deals on there for March or August, but nothing that makes me think Black Friday. Too many retailers have too many good game offers this time of year.
Ace Attorney Trilogy for 10 bucks off....hmmm....
Wish we could get this in Europe, if only to get Fallblox and Pullblox, but Nintendo doesn't seem to acknowledge Black Friday here.
Might get Starfox, need something for the salt
@LasermasterA If there is a Gamestop near you Bayonetta 2 has been on sale for $35.
http://www.gamestop.com/wii-u/games/bayonetta-2/104829
3D Outrun looks about it.
I just traded my copy of Rune Factory 4 to Amazon for $23. Kids were not happy, maybe I might buy it again. But I doubt it.
I would love to have Sports Club!
I'm snagging Outrun, Retro City Rampage, and Boxboy. Not a mind-blowing sale but I'll take it.
Considering Scram Kitty for that price too...
Not really what I was thinking would be on the 3DS list, thought they would try to get competitive and price Mario kart 7 for the same as Target is to attract sales. The Ace Attorney Trilogy is catching my eye, along with Rune Factory 4 as a possibility.
@rjejr
Ooh nice. Thanks for the heads up, but I live outside the US (no Nintendo presence here) and use an imported Wii U so I have to sort of rely on digital games cause shipping and customs otherwise add up -_-
And it is unavailable online so can't grab it.
And they're crap. NOA always so crappy. They'll wonder why their marketshare continually decreases.
Nice but, it's none of the games I was looking for.
Some good deals there but Zelda, Captain Toad etc really should be $19.99 at this point.
Of course, the ones on the list that I'm interested in are ones that I already have.
I'll buy some of those, Don't Starve and Inazuma Eleven look like a good deal. Same for MH4U.
Let's just hope that Europe gets something like that starting Friday, I'm especially hoping for MH4U at that € price!
It's better than last year's.
Though I own most of those games, so people like me will be disappointed.
I love Nintendo, but they are so so bad at doing sales.
Not bad deals, but honestly, these pale in comparison for what goes on at the Xbox Marketplace at this time of the year. Good thing I also have a 360. I might give the WiiU/3DS deals another look, but unless the European sale offers more generous deals, I don't think I'm gonna get much out of this...
I'll probably get Kirby's Return to Dreamland, since I've been wanting that one for a while.
There are some bangers in there if you don't already have the likes of Captain Toad, W101 or Kid Icarus: Uprising. The only things on the list that I want and do not already own are Rune Factory 4 and Adventures Of Pip. Their prices are tempting (physical copies of RF4 on eBay still go for almost $40), but I know that I'm about to be eat up with XCX so they're just gonna sit there for quite a while.
I've been thinking about picking up 'Captain Toad', 'Don't Starve', and 'Shantae'. Hmmm...
Hmm, for ones I might want I already own for the most part. I think I'll probably get Kirby Wii and maybe 3D Sonic.
Not bad... all retail games I already own except one, Rune Factory 4. But I wasn't sure if I'm going to get that. That said, I might get Azure and Boxboy. No rush though...
I'm not sure if NoA is still updating the list, saving some more for tomorrow, or publishers having independent cyber deals but there is more when you check the price drop section on the shop.
This is including but not limit to up to 62% off Level-5 indie games, 50% off AVGNA (also on Wii U), up to 83% off the Cooking Mama series, and up to 50% off others that is/relate to the Harvest Moon series in the 3ds eshop.
The Wii U have too but it's a shorter list with most already being listed beside Sklanders SuperChargers for $30 but you still need the Portal of Power to play.
I was hoping for deals on Pokemon games, and I am disappointed with the sales. I have most of the games and the rest of the games I don't want.
Is the Natsume sale something separate? They've got stuff like Yumi and A-Train on sale right now too.
@Yorumi
Yes because it makes sense to compare Steam and the eShop right? I have respect for you man but @JaxonH is right. Some people are here just to b*tch on everything because it's Nintendo. (Or be the Debbie Downer)
I have never tried a Shantae game so I might give Pirate's Curse a try.
I'll be rounding out my collection a little but I already have most of what I want of those.
Nope, nothing for me as I already own or the sale isn't good enough to get my interest. For the most part, it looks like all this sale does is price games about where they should already be. For example, Pikmin 3 has no business still retailing for $59.99 at this point and most of the Virtual Console stuff come in a bit on the overpriced side.
Back to waiting for Xenoblade Chronicles X to unlock while forcing my way through Bit.Trip Runner 2
Hmm. Some of the Wii U stuff is tempting, but those prices become over $100 when you include the price of an HDD that I'll need to play it. Maybe there'll be a decent Cyber Monday sale at Frys or Best Buy for one.
On the 3DS, there's definitely some stuff I might bite on. Shantae for sure, and then either MH4U or Ace Attorney Trilogy. Can't choose.
Nothing for me. I just picked up Xenoblade for the 3DS.
Not bad. I might get Inazuma Eleven so I can have that digital copy ready to load whenever.
Honestly, I think it's cool that Nintendo even HAS sales now. Maybe if these things continue to be successful they might do them more frequently?
Nothing low enough. Might get Kirby though.
Goshdarnit, Nintendo. These deals are awful.
@TurianAgent
They aren't awful.
If you own a Wii U you probably own nearly the whole of the 1st party output.
For WiiU I'm getting Metroid Fusion, and maybe some indie games like Child of Light or Don't Starve. Don't like downloading retail games.
Nothing for 3DS as I already have everthing I wanted from that list, except 1001 spikes, maybe.
They really should throw in more VC, and reduce the price even more. Years ago for the promo of VC on Wii U, 7 titles were $0.30 each. I'm not expecting that again, but seriously, if you're looking for people to buy these games, you gotta drop the price down more and do it for more VC titles, because people can just shrug it off and play the games through "other means" without a cost.
Meh, the only thing in that list I might take is BoxBoy, and I don't even have a functioning NA 3DS.
@Discostew
The majority of people will always go for free if the easy option to do so exists.
This is why digital music sales have dropped off like a brick, once digital music went DRM free.
That is a solid list. Looks like I might be picking up Wind Waker.
Once you get used to Sony and Microsoft's sales, Nintendo "sales" are just rough.
Finally gonna get Rayman Legends since I have the money and it's only $20.
Ok for the most part, some don't seem to have a big enough drop, thankfully there isn't anything I want, still saving for the smash DLC, that's what I want most next month on the eshop!
Darn it. I own most of the games I want and the ones I do want cost far more than some of the $60 games on sale for PS4 and Xbox One.
I have a lot of those listed on 3DS already, but there are a few holdouts that are finally at a solid price! Oh and the Level-5 Guild games are on sale, all down to $2.99 Crimson Shroud....might finally bite the bullet on that and Inazuma Eleven.
Wow,some of these games are really cheap.A great sale.I would buy much more if I had the money at the moment.
Oooh, Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon is a PS+ game on PS3 next month. Nabbing that. Beyond awful month for PS4 though.
Edit: Ha, there was a mistake in the PS+ update. They said some game called King's Question was a PS+ game. It's actually King's Quest. Ok, so not beyond awful now, but still awful.
I will get Kirby and maybe Gunvolt.
I hope Rune Factory 4 is also on sale in Europe!
Thinking of getting Azure Striker Gunvolt or 3D Sonic, although I only have enough eshop money for Sonic.
Looks like excellent deal for Kirby Wii. That thing has been out of print and selling for inadequate amounts on Amazon etc.
Nintendo's Wii U sell's are awful, Glad I own a Playstation 3 and 4, and Xbox 360 so I can actually get some great deals on games instead of nintendo's lame wii u section of over priced games. Reason I didn't mention the 3ds sale is because I don't play any handle gaming console at all so I don't really care what that is on sale on there to start with. My wallet is save yet again from Nintendo of America.
Not the best list of things on sale but there are a few things I've been waiting for to go on sale like Adventures of Pip, Kirby's Return To Dreamland, 3D Out Run, BoxBoy! and I may pick up Star Fox Command.
Meanwhile, the PS4 has hit 30.2 million units sold worldwide as of November 22nd. Easily gonna hit 35 million by the end of 2015.
I was really hoping to see a discount for Earthbound. :/ Most of the titles on both lists (that I don't already own) either don't interest me enough or at all.
I might bite and get Steamworld Dig on Wii U, though. Maybe.
@HandheldGuru97
Really? Thanks for the info, I'll get Crimson Shroud!
Gunvolt and punch-out would be mine..............If my wallet isn't empty or haven't already spent my 10 bucks for the month.
Nintendo sucks at sales. I at least expected Splatoon to be on sale to pick up a digital copy
I still need to get Rayman Legends. I loved the Rayman Origins, so I might as well.
I know it's still a fairly new game, but I was hoping that Freedom Planet would be on sale. Out of all of the games that are listed, I either already have them or aren't interested in them. $9.99 for Shantae is a great deal, though! If anyone is thinking about getting Shantae, go for it! The game is amazing!
Not too shabby if you don't own some of these games. There are more than a few Indie titles on there that I am considering picking up, just have to decide if my wallet can handle it.
Maybe I'll get Kirby Wii cause it's finally an okay price.
Black Friday? They should put up Stadium Events and NWC. $100 each and only available for 5 minutes. Wouldn't you say, @ogo79?
Meh, nothing for me, I'm saving up for X anyways.
@Mando44646 It was on sale a couple of weeks ago
This is quite disappointing; except for Fire Emblem! I'll just go to Walmart, they have the best deals. Adios Amigos!
@soma Number one, Child of Light isn't indie, it's a ubisoft game. And 2, GET IT! It is soooooo dang good.
@Whopper744 The original game is by far the hardest and doesn't always give clear direction. Risky's Revenge and Pirate's Curse are much better in that regard.
I was kinda hoping for a Layton sale...
Oh well
I was really hoping Earthbound would be on there. I already have all the stuff on that list I want (DKC: Tropical Freeze, Pikmin 3, Wind Waker HD, Metroid Fusion, and Kirby's Return to Dreamland).
@Trinexx What a coincidence, those were my thoughts exactly!
Would get Kirby on the wii but already paid 20 for last summer. Hmm honestly nothing else really interests me. Maybe Fire Emblem but I'd honestly would rather pay lower.
@Dankykong do so! It's a great platformer, and amazing to play with family! Especially since Thanksgivino and Christmas is coming up.
@Pie7 Give Asure Striker Gunvolt a try? Heard lotsa good things about it.
I bought luigis mansion 2 last year during Black Friday for the same price. I was hoping to see affordable space adventure for under $10.
I checked a newspaper ad the other day and all I saw were PS4 and X1 games (most released this year!) for like $15. People claim the relatively high price of the wiiu is causing Nintendo to lose market share - I think the stubborn software pricing Nintendo employs may very well be a bigger reason. It's well know that Sony exclusives are usually like $20 off a month after they release. The quality of these games may be debatable, but it's hard not to see the strong market appeal of such a practice.
I hope some of those pop up on the EU cyber deals
This might get me to finally try Box Boy and anyone on the fence about Shantae Pirate's Curse should seriously consider it. It was totally absorbing.
Why are people disappointed in this? Did you expect the big hitter's like Smash Bros,MK8, Bayonetta 2,NSMBU and 3D World to be on here? This is Nintendo were talking about. Why would they put the big hitters on sale? They sell regardless! Except Bayonetta.
@Yorumi Why you comparing the Eshop to Steam? Why?
Just Rune Factory 4 for me. Saving the rest of my eshop money for when Pokemon Yellow releases. Pretty good sale but I already own most of these games digitally. Would really love to pick up Monster Hunter 4 also but I don't have enought eshop credit at the moment.
Oh man, $20 Rune Factory 4 is tempting!
@KingMike
i agree totally. make it 2 minute$
I got Boxboy, Shantae and I'll buy Kirby’s Return to Dream Land on my Wii U later
Nothing really exciting on this list. Pass.
I'm definitely interested in some of those indies, but I'll pass on the retail games. It takes a better discount than that to make me go digital on Nintendo retail games.
Does anyone know if Never Alone was ever updated to fix the bugs and improve the frame rate?
Man these deals sucks. Ughhh...
@Yorumi @TwilightAngel You could also compare to XBL marketplace:
http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/black-friday/xbox-one
The XB1 sales even include some games released in the past few months like Fifa 16, Forza 6 and the Gears of War remaster.
@Tsurii Thank you! I had no idea!
@Grumblevolcano The Xbox deals are pretty damn good. I'm actually somewhat impressed.
Adventures of Pip, BoxBoy, and Don't Starve Giant Edition for me. Great deals if you ask me.
Was hoping for a Splatoon discount... Oh well.
@Yorumi If you noticed the deals that PSN has are third party games. The games Nintendo does not have,so for me it's pointless to compare the Eshop to everyone else.
@Giygas_95 It's going on sale in Black Friday for 25 bucks.
@TwilightAngel That's in store though right? I kind of wanted to just download it.
Boxboy, that's it.
Damn. We don't get these sales in Australia.
If the point of Black Friday / Cyber Monday is to make $$$ ... Nintendo might have wanted to have a better sale. Even offering 10% off of Splatoon, Yoshi's Wooly World, and other new titles would have been a huge stimulus for their sales and would have scored a few purchases from me. I already have Captain Toad, Donkey Kong, Rayman, etc... I was hoping to get Splatoon for maybe $40 so that I don't have to get a disc copy on Black Friday from Walmart or Target...
@starcatcher77
Oh yeah you're right! I meant eshop titles not available retail lol.
Thanks for the advice, I'll probably get it!
RIIIIIIIIGHT after I bought them. Nice. -_-
I'll get never alone.
Hoping for some of those deals for our European Sale. Would certainly pick up Mario Golf and Starfox for those prices.
I'll probably get Return to Dream Land.
The sales are terrible and just shows how cheap NoA is. They could have at least put Hyrule Warriors for sale without the DLC.
I might pick up Kirby RTDL for that price.
For everyone gushing over Sony/MS sales, they really aren't that much better. Generally they discount games just before they go on the 'free' list, which I've been burned by on both PS+ and Gold. To get the full discount you must also be a PS+/Gold subscriber. There are some great bargins from time to time (I recently got Shadow of Mordor GOTY edition for $7) but I've got good deals on the Wii U/3DS too (like Darksiders 2 for $6).
Decided to pick up 3D Sonic the Hedgehog since I've been wanting it for quite a while now and you can't say no to a pretty good discount like that. I also picked up a few games on Steam because their sales are always nice lol.
Might get Kirby's Return to Dream Land
@antipop621 do you need to play the previous two shantae games to enjoy the story or game? I don't have enough space to get the the second shantae is why I'm asking.
I bought eight of these games, and I'm thinking about two more.
@Andremario Pirate's Curse was my first Shantae game. There were some references that I didn't get, not having played the other two, but it was still one of my favorite games of last year.
@Andremario Not him, but not really. You can get the story just fine without playing the previous games and the first game hasn't aged well at all. You can play the second game, but it kinda on the short side.
I just might bite. I kinda want mh4u but then there's also dementium remastered on the 3rd....decisions.
So far, I've been limiting myself this year as to what games to buy. I might go overboard for some of these, but I think I'll end up getting Shantae and the Pirate's Curse. I love the first game and kinda like the second, so this seems like a good opportunity!
I'd love to get Return to Dreamland and Mario Golf, though. Then again, I should probably prepare myself for Smash DLC with eShop cards. Gah, I'll just stick with Pirate's Curse and grab some eShop cards for Smash.
Then again, I had my eye on Human Resource Machine.
I'm in for Kirby Return to Dreamland, because I want them to continue to bring Wii games to Wii U for download, and I haven't played it yet. Rune Factory 4 also interests me, but Atlus has spoiled me with 9.99 full games on 3DS eshop lately (Devil Summoner, Devil Survivor, Etrian Odyssey) so I'm backlogged anyway.
Ace attorney and mario golf for me
@Yorumi Ya get what you pay for dude!
Lets see what NoE will bring to the table. I suppose they should announce their list today?
@Yorumi They could, but in the end why should they? Like i said before there games will sell regardless of the price. I'm actually amazed Splatoon is going on sale in Black Friday and not on the Eshop. Hell Smash bros is going on sale as well and not in the Eshop odd.
Steve Jobs told me that once I spend hundreds of dollars every year on hardware I deserve software for 99 cents. So naturally I think this is literally the most insulting sale ever. And how dare a publisher insist that their products have value.
@Yorumi - real talk now:
Were you really expecting the Wii U sale to be like Steam?
Were you really?
Was it a surprise to you that it wasn't amazing with deep 90% discounts on everything?
One more serious question: You were gonna complain about it anyway, no matter what the deals were, weren't you?
I was hopping to see Mario Kart 8...
A lot of great titles but most of us have them already
@Yorumi Nintendo's been this stingy since the NES and they did fine on most years. You don't have to race to the bottom to be competitive.
I would go for a good discount at either Mario Maker, Splatoon or Smash Bros.
Also the discounts offered in general are not really that big, so I'll stick to the retail versions for the value.
Oh well.
Grabbed Shantae, Don't Starve and Kirby Wii. I think it was pretty good deal for Wii U.
